Thanks to 1-800-BoardUp of Central Indiana for the donation of an ultrasonic cleaner for our SCBA masks. This technology will help reduce the risk of cancer in our firefighters by breaking free carcinogens and post-fire debris from the facepiece. Thanks also to @KellyReinke for coming out to cover the story as well!
We are honored to be a valuable resource to many central Indiana fire departments. For over twelve years, our relationship of trust and service has been positive for so many.

Inhalation hazard is one of the major cancer risks for firefighters. The contaminants that blanket turnout gear during structural firefighting and training is toxic.
Some areas of skin are more permeable than others, specifically the face and the jaw line.
In order to help reduce the contamination of SCBA masks, and remove as much soot and particulates as possible, 1-800-BOARDUP donated an ultrasonic cleaner to the Washington Township / Avon Fire Department on Thursday February 6th, 2020.
We thank them for their generous donation towards the health and wellness of our members.
