Conveniently located next to Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, New Jersey, the 1st Cerebral Palsy of New Jersey school is committed to enriching the lives of students with special needs. Our services are designed to facilitate cognitive, neuromuscular, sensory motor, speech and language growth. Our student population includes children diagnosed with developmental delays, cerebral palsy, autistic spectrum disorder, hyperactivity, sensory integration dysfunction, speech and communication disorders, and various orthopedic diagnoses.
Each of our students has unique needs and interests. Because of this we offer a variety of intramural sports, Special Olympics track & field, and music and arts programs. We deliver weekly off-site hippotherapy for those students who have received medical clearance, and provide on-site sensory and life skills rooms. The 1st Cerebral Palsy of New Jersey school facility is equipped with a heated, indoor/outdoor therapeutic pool for year-round aquatic therapy, with saline water and a retractable roof.
