Change your a/c filter monthly and DO NOT use 1” pleated paper filters unless your experienced a/c guy says it okay. There is no such thing as a 90 day filter no matter what the label says on it.
1” pleated paper filters are very restrictive and do not usually allow enough air flow which can cause the indoor fan motor to die early.
Also, remember to put a shop vac on the outside condensate drain line every few months to help keep it clear. Do not spray water backwards into the pipe as it can cause growth or buildup from the drain line to enter air handler and/or flooding.
