Cash Management in 2020: Cash Is Still King - 8020 Consulting Posts
Marco Moreno on working with a rapidly growing healthcare startup in the FP&A function: "Their rapid growth in the past several months necessitated augmenting their existing team. My project focused on their short-term cash flow forecast, which needed some improvements. I provided suggestions, obtained initial guidance from the VP of Finance and the CFO and set a deadline before working with their broader team. I then interacted with payroll, the revenue manager and the A/P team to discuss upcoming big outlays and collections. I also reached out to a program manager coordinating a new business line buildout, which required incremental capital expenditures near-term. A weekly update cadence was also established.
"I was glad to help them develop a more robust short-term cash flow forecast, especially as outside cash sources may be needed soon."
