#TipTuesday Your walls may not have much inner beauty, but it's a good idea to take pictures of what's inside during remodeling. The same goes for floors and ceilings. When your next remodeling or repair project rolls around, you'll know where the framing and the electrical and plumbing lines are. #xrayvision

#TipTuesday If you're going to you turn off the water supply to work on your toilet, first fill 2- gallon buckets with water. Flush the toilet by dumping the water in the bowl. You'll get one flush per bucket. Works just as well as the usual method, although it won't refill the bowl.
Can't call us fast enough? Use duct tape or pipe sealing tape to pull together a crack in a pipe, reducing the leak as a temporary solution.
This is just good advice right here...
#TipTuesday Consider insulating your water tank, which could reduce standby heat losses by 25%–45% and save you about 7%–16% in water heating costs—and should pay for itself in about a year! https://www.energy.gov/energysaver/services/do-it-yourself-energy-savings-projects/savings-project-insulate-your-water
It happens to the best of us 😂

Always check the thermostat on your water heater; water heaters sometimes come from the factory with high temperature settings. A water heater setting of 115°F provides enough hot water for most users. #tiptuesday
Although most water heaters last 10-15 years, it’s best to start shopping for a new one if yours is more than 7 years old. Call us to day and ask about our tankless water heaters, that's right, tankless!

#TipTuesday Many toilets really do run only at night; that’s because people use much less water during these hours and in many municipal water systems, the water pressure rises considerably during this time. If you only notice your toilet running in the middle of the night, there is a good chance that the water level in your tank is set too high. https://www.familyhandyman.com/project/how-to-stop-a-running-toilet/#:~:text=The%20water%20level%20in%20the,The%20toilet%20keeps%20running.&text=If%20not%20and%20the%20toilet,tank%20float%20up%20or%20down. It's good to be a glass half full kind of person! Or I guess, in this case, basement half full 🤣
#WednesdayWisdom Check your water meter when no water is being used then check it again about eight hours later. If your meter has moved, that’s a clear sign that you may have a leak.

Whoops!
🤣🤣🤣
Your water heater is more important now than any other time of the year, so this is the perfect time to make sure it is running optimally. A professional plumber can service the unit by checking the tank's sacrificial anode rod and making any repairs or replacements necessary due to wear or corrosion. When it comes time to adjust the heater's water temperature, don't set the dial above 125 degrees F. This will prevent scalding water as well as reduce energy waste.
Great ideas do always come in the shower!
The holidays inspire some of the largest meals you'll prepare during the year, so how you dispose of cooking-related messes, leftovers, and table scraps can significantly impact your plumbing system. For example, fats or oils accumulate while preparing many meals, but these leftovers should NEVER be poured down your drain as they can congeal and clog pipes. Instead, allow grease to congeal in the cooking dish and then scrape it into the trash. In terms of your garbage disposal, it is best to turn it on first and then add the food debris. After the machine has done its work, shut it off and run plenty of water down the drain to clear the system for the next time you need it.
🤣
Here's a little tip for ya! To stop an over flowing toilet locate the valve behind your toilet and turn it off immediately.
