Typical locations of pool equipment drain plugs. Remove these drain plugs to minimize damage If your pool freezes up.
This is Jeff Williams with A-Affordable pool and spa here in Carrollton.
Please keep your pool circulating if at all possible but if you lose power gor an extended period of time and the pool freezes the best thing to do would be to turn the pumps off, remove as many drain plugs as possible from the pump(s), filter, heater, etc, cover the equipment with blankets and quilts and wait until the freeze is over. When things thaw out, re-install the plugs and then try to start the equipment.
If you need further assistance call us at 972-416-4487 and we would be happy to help.
