Our crew was fortunate to be in San Francisco and not catch the rain today! The Mission district always has beautiful weather though and the sights are always very lively. Oddly our crew, and customer, were the few wearing masks. Our crews will continue to wear protective gear for the safety of each other and the public. We will also continue to sanitize spray and wipe down our equipment and trucks prior to, and after, each move. I love our crew as they have all been so flexible and responsive to the cautionary needs of the current situation. They are careful and respectful 🙂
Scott Kerr, who has been with A and P Moving, Inc. since 1993, has been one to always get involved and give back. During the current COVID-19 virus, Scott and his family have donated blood to help with the local shortage. He also is very big on helping his community, especially at this time regularly supporting local farmers and mom/pop markets. He embodies "Together we will get through this".
Scott is a volunteer pillar in his community with 10+ years coaching 3 different youth basketball teams, 5 years with Little League baseball, 5 years emceeing his children's PTA events and auctions, being a volunteer announcer for youth football games, and volunteering at Marin Humane for the care of animals.
We are proud to have Scott as a part of A and P Moving, for what he does at our company, and also how he positively impacts his community.
I always have enjoyed volunteering and giving back to our community. Since the "shelter in place" on March 16th, my family and I have volunteered together every Wednesday at the Redwood Empire Food Bank. It's where my son and I volunteered when the fires destroyed Santa Rosa, and we felt we could make the biggest impact. As a business owner, we are grateful to still be open, and I am humbled to know the thousands of food boxes we make each day are distributed out by that evening. A and P Moving, Inc. partners with "Move for Hunger", and we are glad to do our part locally. Volunteer somewhere if you can - it's good for your community and your soul. Take care, be safe, and stay well.
Moving during these unprecedented times is different. I was out yesterday with our crew on a pack job, gloves and masks on, and it was sure harder. I commend our crew as we packed over 150 units, they worked so hard, never complained, and were very conscientious of social distancing. The guys have been great at adapting during these times. Thankful for the employees we have.
This is our 30th year as a family owned business. We are appreciative of our employee average tenure of 15 years, and over half the employees being with us for 16 years or more. We are grateful to be considered an essential service and thankful to the customers that have allowed us to move them. Be careful of how your inventory will be stored. When driving around today, I took a picture on the left of storage containers outside in a parking lot. A and P Moving, Inc.'s warehouse is on the right. We have a secured 24,000 square foot facility where inventory is safely stored.

Congratulations to Nathan Groll and Francisco Gonzales! They have been with A and P Moving, Inc. for 20 years! We are grateful and thankful for their loyalty and dedication. Nathan keeps us laughing with his animated personality and insightful solutions to tackle the most challenging relocations. Francisco is a patient person who always has a steady hand in getting the job done. Both have been reliable resources for our household and office moving relocations. Bay Area Safe & Vault knows their trade! 1,700 pound safe coming out of a difficult access Larkspur residence with 19 steps straight up to front door. Need Your Help with receiving non-perishable food items. A and P Moving, Inc. has partnered with Move For Hunger - a non-profit organization that has created a sustainable way for the relocation industry to reduce food waste and fight hunger. We collect food from people moving, or people in our community, and donate it to the SF-Marin Food Bank. Yes - in the Bay Area, people are struggling, and food banks are a comforting resource.
OUR GOAL is to collect at-least 100 pounds of food each month for our community. Please call our office 415-883-2391 and ask for Darcy Quinn or email Dquinn@apmoving.com who can come by your residence (meeting you outside) for pickup. If we are moving you - please give your bag/box of Move for Hunger food to the crew. THANK YOU for your support in helping those in need.
