Garden Design for Wildlife in the Willamette
Saturday July 21st 10:00AM to 11:30AM
A-BGC (A-Boy Garden Center) is hosting a FREE NW Native Educational Event. Our Guest educator is Leslie Campbell; an earth scientist, mother, and community member who studies the beneficial effects nature has on our well-being.
As an outdoor science educator and creative director for Habitat Landscape Design, Leslie partners with the Audubon Backyard Habitat Certification Program to assist individuals, students, and communities in the creation of their own backyard habitat. She will be discussing why Gardening is beneficial to our well-being, the Willamette Valley Wildlife that folks can bring into their garden, plants and best practices, and design pro tips.
Please sign up at the store or let us know if you would like to attend by responding to this post.

Happening now..... at A-BGC
A-BGC (A-Boy Garden Center) has added a community compost bin full of red wigglers- We would like to share with the neighborhood. If you need compost for your garden plot please bring some kitchen refuse, coffee grounds, egg shells, etc to your neighborhood vermicomposting bin and then you are welcome to take some of the worms and the rich soil that has been created.... This bin is located outside and to the left of the garden gate. The lid is hinged and there is a small compost rake inside- Bring your own container. This is a community effort we hope people take advantage of and participate in.
