Some non-shedding dogs require stripping to maintain their fur. Stripping is the process of pulling dead hair out of the coat of a non-shedding dog, either by using a stripping knife, which is a blunt comb-like tool, or simply by hand.
Do not neglect to have your pet groomed during the winter months. It is never too cold to have this done, and proper grooming, besides removing dirt and loose hair, distributes oils for proper coat maintenance.
If you want to use a blow dryer to dry your dog, dry an area at a time, and separate the coat. Make sure you dry all the way to the skin. Dry not to blow into the eyes or the ears.
