I know about addiction far too well for it has impacted my life and that of my family and friends. My biggest pet peeve is when people say "you had a perfect life, how could you mess it up like this over alcohol or drugs" or "if you want help you should just ask" or "We've already been down this road before and that it didn't work last time..." addiction literally consumes your soul and it's all you can think about! No one wakes up one day and says I want to be an alcoholic,or addicted to heroin, cocaine, opiates,or meth for the rest of my life... So today more than ever, I pray for the healing of addiction for all that are still struggling. There's a personal reason for asking everyone to put this message on their status for at least 1 hour. I know who'll do it! Think of someone you love who has had an addiction or who is trying to fight this evil whether winning or losing. I hope to see continuous efforts towards recovery & this status on all of my friend's walls. Don't share, please, copy and paste. #wedorecoverchallenge prayers for everyone that fights that devils work.

A Healthcare worker's prayer for the New Year: I pray that all who are sick will be healed; That those who are scared will find comfort; That those who are overwhelmed may find rest; That our heroes will not themselves become victims; I pray we will all be able to place the health of everyone over our own needs, even when it is difficult; I pray that we come together as a nation against our common enemies of fear, mistrust, misinformation, and this pandemic; I pray for all those entering 2021 with less loved ones to find solace in their grief; And above all I pray for the hope of the New Year to exceed the pain and suffering of the last one. Happy New Year to our staff, patients and community. May 2021 see all of our prayers answered and the rewards of all our sacrifices, big and small.
