What about mental health would I like to know more about?
September is Suicide Prevention month.
Understanding the issues concerning suicide and mental health is an important way to take part in suicide prevention, help others in crisis, and change the conversation around suicide.
Suicide is not inevitable for anyone. By starting the conversation, providing support, and directing help to those who need it, we can prevent suicides and save lives.
Mental illness is not a choice, don't tell someone to get over it. Help them, get through it.

September 11th: In the midst of a pandemic that is affecting us all, we take a moment to remember military service men and women, law enforcement and first responders. We certainly are not where we need to be with equality in our nation but it does not take away the fact that these people have a daily job that most of us could never do. 19 years ago, for a moment in history, there was no color, race or ethnicity. We were all Americans. Let’s not forget.
Today we mark a moment of silence with this virtual candle to show solidarity with all of those that lost their lives and for the military and first responders that continue to do such a difficult job to keep this nation safe.
On behalf of our Peaceful Mind Counseling team, thank you law enforcement, military and first responders for your consistent bravery in keeping this the greatest country in the world. 🇺🇸
Have you considered reaching out for professional help, but feel ashamed to do so? Do not suffer in silence let us help you find the peace of mind you have been looking for.

Continuing education is what allows us to continue providing the quality of care that our clients deserve. Because you deserve A Peaceful Mind.
While talking to a friend can be beneficial, it does not take the place of talking to a professional therapist. A friend can be a great support, but their biased perspective (because of your relationship) can keep you repeating your behavior. I want to help you find a new perspective and new ideas to be the healthiest version of you!

People within the LGBTQ+ Population are twice as likely to experience a mental health condition. Many in the LGBTQ+ community also face discrimination, prejudice, harassment, and family rejection, which can lead to new or worsened symptoms.
Today is National Coming Out day.
LGBTQ+ people who are out to others, have fewer symptoms of depression and anxiety.
A Peaceful Mind Counseling Group has professionals that specialize in working with LGBTQ+ and can help in all stages of coming out. We offer individual, couples, and family therapy.
