Engaging hearts & empowering minds. A Reggio Emilia inspired school.
At A+ Children’s Academy, our curriculum promotes creativity through hands-on learning. The Reggio Emilia approach to the curriculum promotes a love for investigation and brings learning to life.
Our state of the art facility is beautiful. Located on 2 1/2 spacious acres, we have the latest and greatest to help your child achieve his or her maximum potential so your child is more than kindergarten ready.
Project work, deeply investigating topics driven by the children's interests, allow teachers to promote research, experimentation, collaboration, observation and creative expression. Teachers document the process of projects as learning tools for children and communication with families. Also, a Today We (daily classroom photographic documentation) is emailed each day so parents have a great view into their child's day.
Sign Language is a second language throughout our Academy, starting in our Infant Rooms. Introducing Sign Language as early as possibly promotes long term brain development and research proves higher IQ. Infants problem solve what they need from their teachers as well as communicate at a much earlier age. Toddlers are less frustrated when they can communicate earlier, creating happier children and reducing crying, tantruming and biting. We also have children from a variety of cultures. Sign Language helps develop their English language skills while giving us all a universal language.
Spanish, our other second language, begins in the Toddler Room and continues through Preschool. Research shows starting this second language early also promotes brain development and increases the possibility to continue Spanish moving forward.
We also have a separate Art Teacher who, working with the classroom teachers, provides additional exposure to a variety of art mediums related to project work.
For your convenience, we have additional Extra-Curricular Activities you can sign...
