Yellow jacket Prevention Looking to get rid of yellow jackets? Call a pest professional if you suspect yellow jacket activity on the property. Because of their tendency to sting when threatened, yellow jacket control requires specialized equipment and safety precautions. Homeowners should remove garbage frequently, keep trashcans covered, and ensure all doors and windows have screens that are in good condition. People should also avoid wearing sweet-smelling perfumes and the scent attracts yellow jackets. https://bit.ly/2Uz9Jxt By: Pest World
What are the health risks associated with a mouse infestation? Mice are carriers of bacteria, diseases, parasites, and viruses. If your house has become infested by mice, the mice are leaving patches of their urine behind them, perhaps on a coffee mug in a kitchen cupboard or on a wooden cutting board on the counter. https://bit.ly/2RrVN6U

What is a carpenter ant? Carpenter ants get their name from their nest building, where they will excavate the wood and form smooth tunnels inside of the wood. Carpenter ants do not eat wood, they only tunnel and chew through wood to create nests. The western black carpenter ant colony, when mature, contains about 10-20,000 workers, with large colonies of more than 50,000 individuals. There is usually only one functional, wingless queen per colony. Swarmers are not produced until the colony is more than two years old. They are produced in the previous year and held over the winter in the nest for release the following year. Swarmers appear from May until August in the eastern United States and from February through June in the west. https://bit.ly/2uD58Qf By: Pestworld
Termite Life Cycle There are more than 2,000 known termite species in the world, with at least 50 species occurring in the U.S. Termites are typically classified into three groups based on the location of the colony – subterranean, drywood and dampwood. A colony is made up of workers, soldiers and swarmers. Workers maintain the colony, construct or repair the nest, and forage for food for the colony. Soldiers are sterile, and their main role is to protect the colony. Neither workers nor soldiers have wings. https://bit.ly/2I0EQ2x
