It appears to be the classic IT band syndrome, runner's knee. Palpation around the tibiofibular joint found the IT band, lateral gastroc, biceps femoris, and peroneus longus all tight and painful. NKT testing found that area overworking and the TFL underworking. Released the tib-fib area and activated the TFL, but her knee still hurt. Then we found the tib-fib muscles overworking and the glute max underworking. Released the tb-fib muscles and activated the glute. Now her knee felt better and she could bend it without pain.
