Working from home has saved Marina on both time, sleep and gas as she currently doesn’t have to commute into the office. Although she misses her coworkers, her cats have become her new office buddies. Especially her cat Archer, who enjoys the warmth of her keyboard throughout the day.
Since quarantine, Marina has learned how to make scones which she said came out pretty good! She’s also spent a lot of time diving into books about racism, dedicating herself to learning how to be a better anti-racist for the rest of her life. #AcaraWorksFromHome

First up is McKenzie Chapman, Acara's Lead Social Media Manager. Since quarantine began, she's loved having the chance to work outside on her deck, but misses the ability to collaborate with her coworkers in-person. During quarantine, McKenzie learned how to sew clothes and produces the “Chick Flicks Podcast” with a friend in her free time!

While everyone else is at home, she’s enjoyed being able to go into the office and not have to worry about social distancing. She also has one of the shortest commutes of all time — just a four-minute walk!
Originally from Canada, Jaime has moved around the world for her husband’s job. Before moving to Connecticut, she lived in the United Kingdom and Belgium!

Next in our #AcaraWorksFromHome series is Macie Marinetto! Macie is currently a senior at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia and works part time as a marketing coordinator at Acara Partners.
Over Virginia’s lockdown period, Macie worked on developing her green thumb. Buying a new plant every time she goes to the grocery store is a habit she just can’t seem to kick! Macie has also used this extra time at home to refine her cooking skills and support local farmers. Going to the Saturday Farmer's Market has become the highlight of her week!
A fun fact about Macie is that she studied abroad in Greece last spring. Unfortunately, her time there got cut short as COVID-19 began to spread across Europe and the rest of the world. Hopefully we'll be able to travel again by the end of the year!

Fun fact: Matthew has an extensive collection of Power Ranger items and prior to COVID-19 when he was not designing for clients, he sometimes cosplayed Power Rangers at conventions!
During #AcaraWorksFromHome, being able to play with his dog throughout the day is both a pro and a con for Matthew. He says she’s both his biggest distraction and favorite part of his day!

Nina Balan joined our team six months ago as the senior operations consultant. She’s been working in and with medspas since 1996, when she worked at the country’s first medspa that was owned and operated by Acara Partners’ CEO, Francis X. Acunzo.
Since #AcaraWorksFromHome began, Nina has loved being able to spend more time with her children. Seeing them during the day when they would normally be in school has allowed her to enjoy additional time with them.
A fun fact about Nina is that she grew up in Australia until she was 11! Her family lived there for her father's job. She has fond memories of the experience and says that it shaped her into who she is today.
