After issues with breastfeeding and getting our baby to latch, my husband and I took our 5 week old baby girl to see about getting a lip and tongue tie removed. As a new mother and father we were nervous to have a laser procedure done.
When we called the staff was patient and knowledgeable in answering all our questions and addressing our concerns.
Erin called us to follow up and see if we had any additional questions. As a mom herself she gave us more of an inside scoop as to how she had felt about having the procedure done and her experiences with it- this was very comforting to us.
Stefanie was helpful in getting us checked in when we arrived and helped with any paperwork questions we had about payment/costs of the procedure.
Loren is an amazing dental assistant! She told us all about how the procedure would go, who would be holding our baby during the laser treatment, and what to expect before and after the laser treatments. We felt safe leaving our baby during the procedure with her, the other assistant Callie, and Dr. Gatgens.
Dr. Gatgens is very upbeat and friendly. He went over what to expect and how to help our baby recover with certain exercises. I feel like he was genuinely caring and wanted to help our little girl be able to feed easier, have better future health by doing this procedure, and that this will be our new family dentist.
We always pick our doctors based off of experience and attitude. We would recommend Dr. Gatgens to anyone who wants a place where they want to feel informed and safe with procedures.
