Rachel L. Nelson is a registered nurse and certified nurse practitioner. She has over 19 years of clinical nurse experience with over 14 years of experience in family practice and acute care setting. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree from Norfolk State University in 1997 and a Masters Degree from Hampton University in 2001. Rachel served eight years in the military (United States Navy) Nurse Corps.
She has worked in Community Health serving the vulnerable population. She later worked at Washington Hospital Center as an Internal Medicine Hospitalist. She also has experience in Medical House Calls providing care to the Elderly, who could not leave their homes to receive Primary Care. Rachel is a proud Veteran, who worked for the Department of the Army caring for United States Veterans who were wounded while serving the nation in CONUS and Abroad.
Her most recent experience includes working with the University of Maryland Community Physicians Group providing Primary Care in an Internal Medicine practice. Rachel is the founder of Access Wellness Healthcare. The company provides innovative, accessible cutting edge healthcare and evidence-based health and wellness to under-served patients and families.
