About

Activa Physical Therapy wants to be your first choice for physical therapy in the Southwest Suburban Chicagoland and Naperville Area. With our advanced experience and commitment to personalized care, we are able to achieve optimal treatment results for our patients to enhance their quality of life and to help them reach their wellness goals.

We pride ourselves on crafting individualized and personalized treatment plans unique to an individual, and provide extensive education on how to further one’s wellness and prevent future re-injury.

Activa Physical Therapy is a private, physical therapist owned practice. Founded in early 2015 by Samir Sharma PT, DPT, Activa was born out of a desire to create a non-sterile and welcoming environment in the medical arena. Leaving Athletico Physical Therapy with a discontentment that patients were not given individualized care and supervised treatments, Dr. Sharma began Activa with the aim of restoring care, empathy and compassion for patients undergoing physical therapy.

And in a few short years, Activa has come to become recognized as Suburban Chicagoland's leading provider of physical therapy and sports medicine rehab.

Don't bother wasting your time or trusting your health with large corporate chain facilities.

Our team takes the time to listen, to evaluate, and create a personalized treatment plan just for you to get you feeling well and back to living life pain free.

Call Activa to get you on the path to recovery today!

Tons of people believe that the aches they’re feeling in their joints are just a sign of aging, but that isn’t always the case! If you’re having pain and find yourself becoming increasingly worried or bothered about the severity of your condition, come see a physical therapist.

Activa Physical Therapy updated their business hours.
*An Important Update Re: Coronavirus* Dear Patients, Firstly, we hope this mesage finds you and your family during this time of uncertainty. As the concerns about the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) intensify, we thought it would be helpful to share what Activa Physical Therapy is or has been doing to make your therapy appointment as safe as possible. We are open, plan to remain open, and are available for your therapy needs during this time. We have taken many steps and instituted strict policies and procedures to make sure our facility is clean and secure during this time. The first step we took was to educate our workforce using validated resources such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) and the US Department of Health. The second step we took was to evaluate our ability to continue to provide services without increasing exposure risks to you, to our visitors and staff. As part of that process we made a list of questions that we will ask to ascertain the exposure risk. Each patient must now fill out a questionaire upon entering the facility. If anyone (including staff) have been deemed as a potential risk, we have asked them to please stay home at this time. If you have a cold, fever, shortness of breath, or simply aren't feeling well, we ask that you please stay home for the safety of others. The third step we took was to intensify our housekeeping & infection control procedures to assure that we have minimized contact with any thing or areas that could harbor harmful bacteria or viruses. In doing so we are asking all individuals who enter our clinic to: To complete the Patient Coronavisus-19 Questionnaire Apply our hand-sanitizer prior to completing paperwork, signing-in for the appointment, taking a seat in our reception area or starting treatment Practice good hand hygiene (frequent handwashing) as well as good cough and sneeze etiquette (cover mouth with tissue when coughing or sneezing and deposit the tissue in a hands-free trash can or cover his/her mouth with his/her elbow if tissues are not immediately available). Apply our hand-sanitizer when departing the clinic Advise care-givers to wait in their car so our reception area is less congested Our therapists and staff are now wiping down EACH and every piece of equipment a patient touches before putting it back; we use commerical grade Protex disinfectant which as been known to kill coronavirus Our staff is now washing hands between EACH patient we work with Our patients are now being appropriately spaced between our tables in the clinic to ensure a safe distance apart, and the entirety of our schedule is being dispersed to allow for less people in the office at any given time The fourth step we are taking is to adapt our schedule to accommodate our immunologically compromised patients including but not limited to the frail or elderly. We have private treatment rooms available in our facilities for anyone that would feel more comfortable completing their therapy privately. The final step we are taking is to continue to educate our workforce and our patient community regarding the COVID-19. We will consistently employ measures to minimize the spread of COVID-19 according to the CDC (and other credible authorities) recommendations and will keep you informed of any changes in protocols. If you are having trouble seeking supplies or need any assistance during this time, please contact us at anytime and let us know how we can help. We are here for you. We again wish you and your family health, safety and the utmost wellbeing during this time. The Activa Physical Therapy Team
