This is an example of one way we treat shoulder dysfunction or injury. This collegiate athlete has shoulder impingement. This video demonstrates needling of rotator cuff muscles. The attempt is to “hit the reset button” on these tight rotator cuff muscles, giving the joint better mobility and “less impingement”. Combined with other soft tissue and joint mobility work the shoulder will move more freely and be stronger in the long run.
