Adam Befeler, MD is a leading neurosurgeon treating patients from throughout the Tampa Bay area at the Neurosurgical Associates of Tampa Bay, located in St. Petersburg, Florida. Dr. Befeler is highly trained and experienced in performing a variety of surgical procedures for the brain, spine, and peripheral nervous system.
Dr. Befeler earned a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Columbia University and a master’s degree in physiology and biophysics at Georgetown University before attending medical school at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School at Rutgers University. He then went on to serve his neurosurgical internship and residency at the University of Tennessee/Semmes Murphey Clinic under the tutelage of Dr. Jon H. Robertson, Dr. Frederick Boop, and Dr. Kevin Foley. He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
