Adam J Denker, MD is a Board Certified Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiologist who practices with South Texas Cardiology Specialists in San Antonio
Dr. Denker identified an interest in cardiology early in his medical career. He chose to specialize in Cardiology because he finds it intellectually and technically stimulating, and it allows him to have a positive impact in the lives of his patients.
He graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida. After receiving his medical degree from Florida State University College of Medicine in Tallahassee, Florida, he completed an internal medicine residency at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He then returned to Gainesville, Florida where he completed fellowships in Cardiology and Cardiology at the University of Florida.
Dr. Denker specializes in diagnosing and treating heart rhythm disturbances (arrhythmias). He performs complex electrophysiology ablations for all types of cardiac dysrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation. His expertise extends to the implantation of traditional and novel cardiac devices like leadless pacemakers, subcutaneously-placed defibrillators, and left atrial appendage occlusion devices (Watchman™).
Dr. Denker practices in downtown San Antonio, and also sees patients at both Methodist Hospital | Metropolitan and Methodist Hospital South in Atascosa County.
