PSA: PLEASE!!!! DO NOT bleach your pumpkins to make them last longer!! We've seen this tip being shared all over social media this season! Please remember pumpkins are food, especially to lots of the wildlife! Deer, squirrels, raccoons, possums, mice, rats, chipmunks, birds, and even bugs. We deliberately stick them outside somewhere where wildlife can access them and we DO NOT want our wildlife eating bleached pumpkins!!! 🐿🥺🖤
Instead, try using vinegar. 1 part vinegar to 10 parts water will work just as well. Thanks! 🎃🎃🎃

My name is Bella and I am a sweet little girl dog. I am only a year old -so I am still a baby. I am good with kids and also with other dogs.
I did not have the best start in life and this nice lady took me in a few months ago. She tried to find a good home for me, but found out that there are a lot of bad people out there and that these bad people wanted me for the wrong reasons.
This nice lady can no longer keep me and will need to take me to a shelter if no one wants to give me a home, and... I really don’t think I will do well there. She said I need to go to Animal Welfare League. I am very scared now - if I go there, I will probably NEVER come out.
I just want a nice house with very nice people and a pillow to lay my head and maybe a blankie too. I would like toys and good treats and my very own family. I promise to be such a good dog. And best of all... I think I am potty trained - at least that’s what my people call it. It’s a good thing.
I will come to you fully vetted and spayed and healthy. So my only cost to you will be toys and treats and stuff like that. Oh... and all of your love forever- very important.
So now I have an agent. Her name is Sue Malone. She’s in charge of looking for a good home for me. She says only contact us if you are very serious. No one is trying to dump me, they’re looking for my forever home. So please message Sue and let her know why you can provide the best home for me. Remember, I promise to be the most fantastic family member. You will wonder how you ever got along without me.

Please be aware that outdoor Halloween decorations may pose hazards to wildlife. Birds or other animals can easily become entangled in fake spider webbing or other hanging decorations in trees and around the yard. It’s a good idea to think like a wild animal and look for these potential threats when adding anything unnatural to the natural world.
On the other hand, some fall décor can benefit our wild neighbors. Don’t toss those pumpkins November 1st; uncarved pumpkins and other gourds can be a welcome food source for squirrels and other rodents. Dried corn is also a favorite snack for many species. Keep it spooky and safe this Halloween season!

As much as this breaks my heart, I was not aware until animal control came to my house because my ahole neighbors called them that Oak Grove only allows 3 dogs per household and I have 4. So I am forced to get rid of one😭. If anyone knows of someone who is looking for a dog I have a 16 month old half Pitbull and half white German Shepherd. He is fully potty trained and is a good boy! Missing since 1:00pm 12-2-2020.
Escaped yard through slats in fence and just kept running. She was spotted on Lake St multiple times. In the parking lot next to Panera at 7, by Farmwood, then Itasca and Lake at 8:15, crossed Lake Southbound top condominiums. Then running south down Lombard near Lake St 9:00pm. This was the last sighting.
Border Collie mix Female white with black spots. Wearing the collar pictured blue with polka dots and yellow chewed up tag. Recently weened so has enlarged teats. 1-2 years old, does not respond to name, rescued a few weeks ago out of Kentucky. She is microchipped to Mobile Mutts rescue. This is a street dog that is not used to people, easily spooked by noise and runs when called. Extremely sweet and non aggressive.

It has been 3 months since Cinnamon has been gone! Cinnamon has been missing since October 2nd and we are heartbroken without her home! All we want is for her to be home safe and sound with her sister and family, where she belongs. She was last seen running south on Swift road in Addison, IL and has since been tracked to North Ave and Main St Lombard, IL. We believe she was picked up by someone on North Ave. There have been no additional sightings or leads. We know someone has her and are BEGGING for them to do the right thing. Cinnamon is sick and requires medication daily along with frequent vet visits. $500 reward for a safe return, no questions asked! Any sightings/info/whereabouts please contact me anytime!

AJ is a male Cockatiel that was lost on 3/20/21 at about 1:30 p.m. near Addison Road and Irving Park Road. At that time it appeared he was heading in a Westward direction. He is grey with white accent feathers. He has a yellow face with orange cheeks. One of his toenails is white. He sings and says phrases such as "Watcha doin?" and " Who's the pretty bird?". 🧲 We urgently need to attract bunny adopters 🧲
We still have 16 rabbits in our care, and just received a call requiring our help with 9 more.
The demand to take in rabbits—especially from outside of DuPage County—has been absolutely overwhelming this year. We do not turn away a pet in need as an open-admission shelter but we need help reaching loving families.
