Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States.
Advanced Dermatology of the Midlands specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer, emphasizing the use of Mohs Micrographic Surgery to treat most types of skin cancers, including basal cell carcinomas and squamous cell carcinomas.
For Mohs surgery, a layer of tissue is removed over the area of concern. This layer is divided into smaller specimens for frozen sections on a cryostat.

Dry skin is a troublesome problem, particularly in the Midwest, during the winter months. Dry air in the wintertime, both inside and outside, is a major contributor to this.

• CeraVe
