About Dr. Manolakakis
Manolis Manolakakis, DMD, FACS, is a dual board-certified cosmetic and reconstructive facial surgeon and the director at Advanced Facial Surgery in Shrewsbury, New Jersey, and Greenwich Village in Manhattan, New York City.
Dr. Manolakakis takes a conservative and integrative approach to medicine, designing personalized treatment plans for each individual that comes to Advanced Facial Surgery in need of a change. He specializes in facial cosmetic surgery and non-surgical treatments, facial reconstruction, maxillofacial trauma management, jaw surgery, and cleft lip and palate repair.
Dr. Manolakakis completed his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts. He completed his graduate education at Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey, earning a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry in 2000. He completed a residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, New York, serving as chief resident. He later completed fellowship training in cosmetic and reconstructive facial surgery at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, Mississippi, and Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
Since completing his formal education and training, Dr. Manolakakis has accumulated diverse experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery in various hospital and private practice settings. He continues to gather pertinent information and techniques to use in his private practice through professional memberships.
Dr. Manolakakis is a member of over 15 organizations, including the American College of Surgeons, the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the New Jersey College of Surgeons, and the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
He is also a diplomate of the American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery, the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Furthermore, he is a fellow of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American College of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons.
Throughout his education and his career, Dr. Manolakakis has received various awards and honors. Today, he uses his talents at Advanced Facial Surgery to give patients complete facial makeovers with rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, facelifts, and non-surgical treatments like Botox®, fillers, Facetite, Accutite, Evoke, Jeaveau, and Morpheus8 microneedling.
