Dr. Lahr received his medical degree from Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia in 1988, then completed his internship in general and thoracic surgery in 1990 at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. He stayed at Duke for a residency in orthopedic surgery and achieved his fellowship in foot and ankle surgery from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee in 1995.
Dr. Lahr has a distinguished career record, including serving as consulting surgeon for the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland; clinical instructor in surgery at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences Medical School in Bethesda; and chief of orthopedics at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville.
