Happy Veterinary Technician week! Our first spotlight technician is Jamie, she has been with us since 2018. Jamie grew up in Southern Minnesota and Western Illinois. After high school she attended Black Hawk College East in Kewanee, Illinois, double majoring in Equine Science and Horse Science Technology. She started working as a Veterinary Technician in small and large animal clinics right after college graduation for several years before deciding to get certified as a Technician at Penn Foster Online College. She moved to Clutier, Iowa after meeting her husband. Along with raising 5 growing boys, her and her husband also raise beef cattle, finisher pigs, rabbits, American Quarter Horses. Their family includes a leopard gecko named Sparrow, 2 dogs named Pixie and Hunter and several cats. When Jamie isn’t cheering her kids on in their various sports, she enjoys reading, crafting, riding her horses, gardening and being outside. Thank you Jamie, for all of your hard work!
