Automotive Technician/Mechanic
We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated automotive technician to join our growing team in Albuquerque, NM. We have a full-service repair facility that performs maintenance, service and repair work on all makes and models of American and Asian cars, light trucks and RV chassis. Hourly pay and bonus plan depend on experience. Full time schedule Monday thru Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM with weekends off. Benefits include 6 paid holidays and 2 weeks paid vacation per year. AFLAC accident coverage is provided at no charge. Ongoing training and ASE testing are provided throughout the year at no cost to our technicians. Advantage Automotive is well established in the community and has been in business since 1986. We are team and goal oriented and appreciate our staff. We give recognition and incentives for new ideas and goal achievement. We have a clean and well-organized repair facility with a friendly, family oriented working environment. Our shop and diagnostic equipment are up to date and well maintained.
Job Requirements/Qualifications
· At least 5 years’ experience in a professional shop environment
· ASE certifications with A1-A8 or L1 preferred (but not required)
· Ability to learn additional skills & processes
· Self motivated
· Punctual
· Incentive driven
· Positive attitude
· Solid communication skills
· Experienced in American and Asian vehicles
· Must have own tools
· Strong diagnostic skills
· Ability to work a Monday through Friday schedule
· Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area
· Work with a team
· Strong time management skills
· Good driving record
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to walk/stand the majority of the workday
· Have the dexterity and strength to use hand tools
· Lift and move over 100 pounds
· Ability to work in tight spaces
