Tonight I had to grab something from the Agora when I realized that I had never seen the new design system with light... still working on details... but so in 💕 with the possibilities we now have to decorate the gilded canopy to fit the event!

During the early part of the pandemic, we received a grant to, among other things, help us build a design system for our gilded canopy. The desire for this were two fold. First, make our Grand Reception Hall more intimate for weddings; Second, make our gilded canopy easy and safe to decorate with no need for even a step stool. While we are still tweaking it, we are happy to present our one of a kind gilded canopy decorating system!
We are honored to announce our first marriage at the Agora Grand since COVID changed life.
Tomorrow is the two week anniversary of this delightful couple and we got the OK to post last night.
The ceremony on July 31st was short, sweet, causal (you have got to love the Converse footwear!) and just plain fun with a grand total of 8 people. It was also filled with laughter and joy. It truly did our heart good to be able to make it happen for these two and we remain honored and grateful that they let the Agora Grand be part of the start of this new chapter in their lives.

After over 8 months... we prettied her up today for our first post COVID wedding scaled down guest list celebration tomorrow. It has been nice to hear the nervous excitement and laughter of a wedding party decorating today. This is what we LOVE to do!

One of the moments we always look forward to when cleaning up, is to see if any of the decor gets donated to our “Lending Library” for future events. Our last pre-Covid wedding donated 4 lovely artificial pine trees that they used to create their ceremony setting. Since then, we have been blessed to marry more couples in our new intimate setting that is graced with the 4 trees. The trees continue to stand witness to love even in this pandemic and we once again send our gratitude for allowing us to add these for use by others.
Even Bernie is anxious for weddings to start here again!
Fun Fact! And we are just the venue to help you get married in Lewiston! We still have a few fall 2021 dates and some prime 2022 dates... but don’t wait because they will be gone soon!

At the start of our elopement busy season that we experienced at the end of 2020, we were honored to have Cheri and Heidi celebrate their marriage with us. While I am known to cry at almost every wedding, the emotion written all over their faces got me as they were walking down the aisle together and never stopped. It was very intimate with just them and us (officiant, venue and photographer) and it was an absolute joy to be part of their wedding.
