With a recent case of bubonic plague diagnosed in Navajo County, and given that the plague is common in Arizona, you might be wondering what to do to protect yourself and your furry families from this potentially deadly disease. Since bubonic plague is usually transmitted by an infected flea, the best thing you as a pet parent can do is make sure your animal companion is on an effective and FDA-approved flea preventative all year round. If you need to stock up on flea preventative for your pet, give us a call at (480) 893-8423 today! The New Year is almost here! Here are some tips to help keep your pet calm this evening.
-Do not bring your dog to a fireworks display
-Leave your pet inside and play soft music to help block the sounds of the fireworks
-Follow your routine as much as possible, and watch TV at a slightly louder volume (Not Blasting)
-Exercise your dog before the fireworks commence – a tired dog is less anxious
-If you plan to stay inside with your pet, try to stay in a familiar environment to them,
-Be sure all pets, including indoor cats, wear current ID tags
