About Ainslie Orthodontics
Doug Ainslie, DMD, MS, has been leading Ainslie Orthodontics, with locations in Portland and West Linn, Oregon, since he opened the Portland office in 1985.
A Portland-area native, Dr. Ainslie graduated from Portland State University in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science in biology. Four years later, he graduated with honors from Oregon Health Sciences University, also located in Portland, with a doctor of medicine in dentistry.
After earning his DMD, Dr. Ainslie moved to Chicago to complete orthodontic specialty training at Northwestern University. He couldn’t stay away from the Pacific Northwest, though, and moved back to the Portland area shortly afterward.
Today, Dr. Ainslie is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Oregon Dental Association, Diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontics, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, and Multnomah Dental Society.
Dr. Ainslie makes his home in West Linn, Oregon, with his wife Rhande, and their four children, Cameron, Bryce, Mitchyl, and Gaige. When he’s not connecting with community members over orthodontics, he enjoys spending time with his family, gardening, welding, and woodworking.
