WARMING SHELTER ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!!!!
BEGINNING Tuesday 2/16 through Saturday 2/20 the Civic Center will be open 24 HOURS for men. The Warming Center will be open tonight Monday, 2/15.
Last Wednesday we began using non congregate shelter to assist in keeping people out of the elements. As of this morning we are serving nearly 50 individuals with hotel stays as law enforcement identifies.
A HUGE thank you to the Mayor Scott Conger, Civic Center, Capt. Robert Gambill and officers, SA, RIFA, Volunteers, Donors and THS staff who have worked so hard over the past week to keep everyone safe, warm and fed.
Another post will be made in the morning with needs once we get everyone back settled at the shelter.
****Women, children and families will continue to be served with non congregate shelter. If you are need of shelter please find a JPD police officer and ask them to take you to shelter.
Thank you, Amy McDonald
