Philadelphia Style Magazine looks a little different this month. This one-of-a-kind special edition “Hope Issue” memorializes this time and celebrates the heroes, leaders and initiatives defining the COVID-19 pandemic. The cover artwork, commissioned by Mr. Brainwash, is an original piece that will be auctioned off with all proceeds donated to charity. The holiday season is finally here and we are creating Hanukkah meals to be enjoyed at home! Available for pickup from December 10th - 18th. All dishes are prepared and may require some quick reheating (instructions will be provided).
Each meal includes:
Cucumber and Celery Salad
Matzo Balls with Roasted Chicken Broth
Chopped Chicken Liver Mousse with House-Made Pickles
Steelhead Trout Lox with Cream Cheese and Herb Salad
Everything-Spiced Crackers

Dinner and a movie look a lot more like "microwaved leftovers and Great British Baking Show reruns" these days? Shake things up for a date night (or a pal's night!) in a new Dinner & Movie experience c/o @stayaka in @rittrow and @akitchenphilly!
Unprecedented times call for thinking outside the box, so AKA and a.kitchen are transforming AKA’s furnished suites into full-service, private-dining spaces in compliance with the latest CDC guidelines. The program will also offer upgrades that grant exclusive access to AKA’s 7-seat a.cinema for a private theater experience, with films curated by the @phillyfilmsociety.
Private suites for three-hour dinner bookings come with a $50 fee and guests may elect to extend their stay overnight, which that fee can be directly applied to. Each day, Chef Eli Collins will curate a $55 3-course menu with several options for you to choose from. You will also be able to select from @abar_and_bottles selection of natural wines and seasonal cocktails.

A wonderful organization that delivers nutritious, medically-appropriate meals to neighbors who are battling life-threatening illnesses along with providing nutritional counseling. A couple weeks ago, I suggested @stayaka’s and @akitchenphilly’s “dinner and a movie” to my sisters as a potential girls’ night. Most of my sisters have very small children, so the immediate response was “OMG YES! When can we go? Friday? Can we stay?” Thus, an article (on Philly’s many hotel specials targeting locals) was born.
Beyond the article, it was a real treat to have a pandemic girls’ night. Our parents snuck into town and secretly paid for the room. My husband sent a bottle of Prosecco. And Tiffany, AKA Rittenhouse’s awesome concierge, picked out the perfect movie for us to watch together: Bridesmaids. As my mom says, there’s nothing like your sisters. ❤️
