How do you say goodbye to someone who has been there for every moment of your life? She taught me “family first”- just as she lived her life. She taught me by example to be kind, caring and to do your best everyday. She asked for little and gave her all. It would take a book, no, several books to tell her story.
Mother’s are heroine’s who live in the dark with no fanfare or awards, largely unknown to the world except by our telling, and they love unconditionally until their very last breath.
This was my Mother. She left us yesterday after battling her illness on her own terms, in her own home with family at her side.
All who knew her loved her. If you were important to us, you were important to her.
The Matriarch has left our presence but never our hearts. 🙏🏼💔💔💔
Please join me in congratulating our Wu Shu Wonder, Francesca. This mighty little seven year old earned her sash by successfully completing the same Elementary Test taken by our adults. She had to know the complete Chuan Su Er Shr Fa (Twenty Methods of Self Defense Form), it’s Chinese name and English translation, each individual numbered method, the Shaolin Footwork Rule and it’s exception as well as the Stance vs Strike Rule and it’s exception.
