Groundbreaking on the $20 million Cunningham Student Center was held Friday, August 28, on the campus mall at MNU. The new building, which is part of the Bright Futures Campaign for MNU, will house student services, the dining hall, Admissions and more. Plenty of space for community gatherings, meetings and socializing is planned. The building will replace the Campus Center, one of the university's first five original buildings.

Check out the time-lapse construction video of Wayside Waifs new Canine Behavior Center! The Behavior Center includes individual indoor-outdoor kennels, real-life rooms, indoor and outdoor play and training areas, a dedicated medical exam room with grooming space, and a training classroom for visiting animal welfare colleagues. It will serve over 20 dogs at a time in a quiet and controlled environment. This building and program will be the second of its kind in the nation. In addition to the CBC, we also constructed the state-of-the-art Humane Education Center. We are honored to have worked with this incredible local organization! A huge thanks to an amazing team including Wayside Waifs and design partner SFS Architecture!

GastingerWalker& took home top honors from the IIDA Mid-America Interior Design Awards last week — receiving the Gold award for excellence in Renovation & Restoration for the Kansas City Art Institutes's Vanderslice Hall. The corporate campus café project at T-Mobile’s Overland Park campus began with the desire was to create a communal hub divergent from corporate branding with an energizing and eclectic atmosphere. This was carried out with a mix of vibrant material palettes, custom graphics, and furniture selections to create unique and visually rich moments. In stage one of the renovation, the café was broken up into several distinct and intimate areas. Unique seating experiences provide employees a variety of ways to work, eat, and socialize. Since completing the renovation, this rich energizing environment has seen a dramatic increase in community engagement and food sales.
