AkHES is Alaska's Premier Orthopedic Clinic, meaning we focus on the treatment of the musculoskeletal system, including bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles, and nerves of the body. Since the opening of AkHES in 2007, Dr. McNamara has provided specialized evaluation and treatment for the upper extremity, including hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder injuries and conditions. With the addition of Kevin C. Paisley, D.O., to our team in September 2014, we extended our practice to include specialized evaluation and treatment for sports injuries, conditions of the knee, and fracture care. We evaluate and treat patients of all ages, from infants to elderly adults, and we offer comprehensive treatment for a variety of injuries and conditions caused by sports injuries, disabilities, accidents, or degenerative diseases. On-site services, including x-ray, fluoroscopy, and ultrasound, allow our providers to more accurately diagnose and treat your condition. After diagnosing your injury or condition, our providers often recommend a course of conservative, non-surgical treatment and rehabilitation. We also offer minimally invasive surgical options or more complex surgical options when surgery is deemed necessary. We are now preferred providers with both Aetna and Blue Cross Blue Shield.
