Breast reconstruction is an option for all women following mastectomy 👏🏻 It may be performed with implants or #autologous (your own tissue) flaps. Every option should be thoroughly discussed as both have there advantages and disadvantages, but with each able to provide excellent results. Our lovely 42 year old patient decided to go forward with a bilateral mastectomy followed by immediate tissue expander reconstruction. A wonderful young gentleman came in for a quick consultation to discuss repairing his ear lobes that he widened with gauges during his adolescence. He decided to go forward with an in office procedure which requires zero downtime. The earlobes were rotated, advanced and the wedges of tissue were excised in an crucifix pattern to shorten and close the areas. The after photos were taken 6 weeks post op and demonstrate a beautiful result. He is extremely happy with the rejuvenated appearance of his ear lobes and has gained more confidence!

💉So proud of all of those who worked tirelessly to get this vaccine out so readily. An emotional day, after having lost yet another family member to COVID. The next phase of the rollout starts today - many are now able to register for the vaccine. I just received my 2nd of the 2 dose series required, which will afford a >95% protection from COVID. Get the vaccine when able.
I hope that we all still continue to take precautions - while this is the first step to ending this pandemic, it is still only protective until herd immunity is achieved at >85% of the population immune. One can still be an asymptomatic carrier and pass it on to others unknowingly. Be safe - let’s all end this together 🙏🏽
