New Year, New Me Segment Part II.
Have you been living or surviving?
What is the difference you may ask? For most of us, living a rich and rewarding life is our goal and in my professional experience, being present is the key. Listed below are practices that may help you remain present in your day-to-day life.
• Find a purpose in life, something that inspires you to be more. It is hard to thrive without purpose.
• Give and receive love with friends, family, companions, and life partners.
• Enjoy your work life. Learn what your interest are and pursue them.
• Give as much as you take, be it joy or your time.
• Make the most of each moment and don't take things for granted.
• Be as interested in others as you are in yourself.
• Be close to family. Define who family is to you and embrace them.
• Don't get engulfed in one thing. Achieving balance creates happiness.
• Keep things simple.
• Regrets--keep them at a minimum.
• Be healthy-- physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
