Dear Clients,
These last couple days have proven to be the most intense and devastating for our community. With so much loss, it is so hard to know where to start helping and, at times, overwhelming. We first want to let you know that we have been in contact with all staff members and we are all safe. There has been some loss and some displacement during the first 24+ hours; but we are getting back and working on a game-plan going forward.
While many clients have been contacted about Thursday and Fridays appointment cancellations, please know that we have every intention on resuming normal business on Monday September 14th. We will provide as much emergency care as we have staff to handle and do our very best to prioritize cancelled appointments with an emphasis on emergent and non-prophylactic cases using triage protocols. During this phase we ask for your patience and compassion and thank you graciously for doing so.
No words can explain how thankful we are for the first responders locally and from afar who have come to our aid. We cannot imagine a world without courageous people like EMS, Fire and Rescue, Law Enforcement, Nurses, Doctors, and others who volunteered their own lives in an effort to save our communities.
With Love,
ACVH
PSA: Due to the wildfires in Southern Oregon, ACVH was considered in evacuation level 3 and will be closed until further notice. With multiple staff who have homes in the fire zone fleeing for shelter, we simply do not have the resources at this time. We hope to open by the end of the week and will keep you updated as this state of emergency progresses.
Our hearts are with our staff, families, and community who have lost homes and experienced displacement during this time. We love you all deeply and everyone will remain in our thoughts.
Something to smile about ❤️

Taking on Friday like...
Valued Clients,
What a year it has been - and it's not over yet! While most of us cannot even begin to describe all that has gone on, I want to thank you for your amazing support and patience through this challenging year. Coming to work every day during COVID-19 and the devastating Alameda Fire would not have been as easy if it wasn't for the amazing communication, love, and loyalty you all have given us at ACVH!
This brings up an important note, and the other reason for this post. Alder Creek Veterinary Hospital is committed to excellent care for both our patients and our clients. While the concept of turning new clients away has never been something I have thought to make a reality - that time has come. As of today, we will no longer be accepting new clients at ACVH. This decision was not taken lightly and it saddens our hearts to limit care for those who may truly need it. However, we cannot continue to deliver the quality of care we promise if we do not.
Additionally, while this change is in effect, we want to support our community of amazing veterinarians by helping the clients who have been impacted by the fire that tragically impacted Phoenix Animal Hospital. If you are a client with PAH, please know that you are always welcome at Alder Creek Vet while they assess the reopening and rebuilding phases. We respect your privacy and your loyalty to them but we want you to know that if you are in need, we have a temporary home for you.
I hope everyone is staying healthy and safe.
With love,
ACVH
Smarty pants...
Hey all!
Hope you are prepped and ready for the change in weather! The leaves are starting to fall off our tress here at ACVH and we are reminded that sunny days will soon be missed :-(
General update: We will be closed Wednesday November 4th and 11th but still open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday for our "normal" COVID-19 operating hours. If you have an emergency during that time, please reach out to Southern Oregon Vet Specialty at 541-282-7711 for triage and emergency care.
