If a lack of transportation was keeping you from treatment, your worries have been solved! ALEF is now accepting NC Medicaid and your benefits offered by Medicaid will assist in your transportation to and from ALEF Behavioral with no out of pocket expense. NC Medicaid covers the cost of treatment and also can get you to and from treatment. RCATS transportation services offers daily rides to get the help you need. To arrange transportation simply call RCATS at 336-34R-CATS or visit their website, https://adtsrc.org/

Here are some updates and a few pics on the ALEF wildlife sanctuary.
The deer are plentiful they are starting to feed and hang out right alongside our picnic tables. The yearling buck we named Slim is always the first to appear he is curious watching everything we do. Raccoons, squirrels, and rabbits are also seen regularly in the sanctuary. We are almost finished and a nice gazebo is being put up this week. We will be ready to start hosting patients and staff at this awesome location soon. I will be announcing shortly the date when we will host the first ALEF picnic. All patients and staff will be invited.
This is also pretty cool the Shasta Lillies are coming into full bloom the sanctuary is full of them. Perhaps the cheeriest of all flowers, the Shasta Daisy is an iconic summer classic. Shasta daisy grows on a single stem. You know summer is in full swing when you see Shasta daisies growing in your garden!
This is a Little sneak peek at the ALEF Nature preserve and wildlife observation area. COMING SOON. We are setting up a few picnic tables and a gazebo by our wildlife feeder for our patients and staff to enjoy have a group hang out and relax. This is Nature therapy at its best.
