19 years ago, one of the worst calamities in modern history would bring out the best of us: We witnessed the courage of the first responders who rushed to Ground Zero as billows of smoke rose from the New York City skyline, and the resolve of a country that stood united even in the face of such unprecedented loss.
Today, we honor the memories of the nearly 3,000 lives lost on that fateful day. We remember the tragedy, the stories of immeasurable bravery, and the unrelenting strength of our nation. #NeverForget

Don't forget to add the flu shot to your list of fall activities!
Flu season is upon us and staying healthy has never been more important. Ensuring you get the #flushot is one of the best ways you can protect yourself and your loved ones while doing your part to minimize the burden on our healthcare systems currently fighting #COVID19.
Remember, the flu shot takes two weeks to take effect, so don’t wait! The sooner you get vaccinated, the less likely you’ll get sick, and the less likely you’ll have severe symptoms if you do get sick.

Most trails of California's beautiful beaches, parks, and forests remain open. While your chances of contracting COVID-19 outdoors are low, basic precautions still apply: bring a mask, remember to social distance, and bring along some hand sanitizer for good measure. Also, a pair of sunglasses or a wide-brimmed hat will allow you to reap the benefits of Vitamin D without the risk of eye damage from the sun.

February is #LowVision awareness month. Those with low vision may have difficulty completing daily tasks, even with the aid of regular glasses, contact lenses, or surgery.
While low vision can't be completely corrected, special devices are available to improve vision, such as tinted eyewear, magnifiers, and other devices.
If you should notice any changes in your vision, be sure to bring it up with your eye doctor!
