I grew up in a college town in the middle of Ohio, spent about 10 years in and around Boston, and returned to Ohio for medical school. I moved to Charleston to complete my training in family medicine at MUSC in 1985, and I've stayed here since then. I'm married, and we have two grown children. I enjoy helping patients strive for wellness, and prevent illness. Sometimes, problems just happen, and catching these problems early is important. Managing chronic illnesses can be complicated and confusing; I will try to give you choices that make sense and that fit into your needs and wishes.
