☀️Believe it or Not!! ⏰ It’s about time!🌸 Prepare your shade trees🌳, fruit🍎 trees, shrubs, and any perennial🌹against bugs🐛 and diseases🤢with Bonide’s All Seasons Horticultural Oil!! It’s right in the name, good👍 for ALL seasons! HOWEVER, it’s best to apply while plants are still dormant😴 ! Bonide January 19 at 1:20 PM · Expert Tips on using All Seasons spray: 1. For effective dormant control of overwintering insects and mites on fruit trees, it is important to completely cover all branches, main limbs and trunk when applying All-Season’s Horticultural Oil. 2. All-Seasons Horticultural Oil is best applied at the dormant rate when the daytime temperatures are above 40 degrees and there has been no freezing temperatures at night for a minimum of 3 days. People are seeing adult foxes near their homes and are alarmed. Foxes are coming in close to people to raise their families because there are coyotes who will kill fox pups and so the fox come in closer to humans to have their litters. Please be kind and let them have some space. They will choose to be under your shed, porch, barn, or in backyard. The family will move in a few weeks to a new place. When the pups are older they will start to be seen less and less. Red foxes will not live in a den year-round and even with this, they have a high mortality rate. Out of a litter of 6, it is likely that only two or three foxes will make it to September. Foxes do not want to kill or eat your kid, cat, or dog. They eat primarily mice, rats, rabbits, and woodchucks. They will watch your pets with concern and may even chase your cat back into your yard or up a tree if it goes near the den. Your cats shouldn't be outside anyway (the part about the coyotes up above). Please allow the mother fox to raise her pups in peace. It is a lot of fun to watch the pups scampering and tumbling with each other. Think about this though, momma felt safe enough in your yard to have her pups there. This little guide is called Don't Be A Cairn which is funny because it sounds like don't be a Karen. Puns are neat! "But Phill." you say "what is the deal?” Well, listen to this: Photos courtesy of the NPS. All this info is easily available from the NPS. Special note: slide 2 is a pic of an OFFICIAL CAIRN. I used that to emphasise the point of number 2. It's Selfish Creating multiple cairns dilutes the original purpose. Many parks use official cairns as trail markers and guides- building unneeded ones can cause confusion and other issues. What more, pervasive rock stacking takes away from the experience of others and communicates that "your mark" or "good vibes" is more important than the natural beauty. It's vandalism "be aware that (rocks stacking) it is considered by the National Park Service as a form of vandalism and it is illegal." - NPS It's destructive: "Moving rocks disturbs the soil and makes the area more prone to erosion. Disturbing rocks also disturbs fragile vegetation and micro ecosystems." - NPS is a cairn here or there the end of the world? No. Are hundreds and thousands a problem? You betcha. If you must build a cairn, do some rock art in the comfort of your own yard. hugs and kisses
