After 40 years of practice, Dr. Roti has begun to ease into retirement. He is still working at the clinic and will stay a part of the team, just at reduced hours. We are currently working to bring in another veterinarian to our team to better serve you and we continue to strive to do our best and provide you with the highest quality of care. In order to do this, we are discontinuing after hour emergency services in the interim. If you experience an emergency with your pet after hours, you can call us via the Airvet app, or you can take your pet to All City Pet Emergency in Sioux Falls, SD. Their phone number is 605.335.4004. We hope to open our after hours emergency services again soon and thank you for your patience during this adjustment. We look forward to continuing to serve you and your pets! **We are still accepting all sick and emergency patients during business hours**

Please contact Kenzie if you are interested in adopting a kitten. Kenzie Stroud-Piper October 2 at 11:12 AM ยท So yesterday while walking through our backyard I heard a little mew...under a fallen log I spotted a baby kitten! I grabbed some cat food and set it down and 2 kittens appeared. They were a little nervous and had clearly been living outside. They were hungry and chowed so I grabbed more food and when I came back there were 4! We were able to catch 3 of the babies. They are so cute! Our vet is checking them out. Still trying to catch #4 and the mama who appears to be a little feral. Let me know if you need a sweet baby in your life! They are so stinking cute!

VET TECH APPRECIATION WEEK: As we wrap up the week, take a moment to thank a vet tech for all that they do! Wrapped into one job title, these girls are also anesthetists, phlebotomists, surgical techs, x-ray techs, dental hygienists, lab techs, pharmacy techs, nurses, and SO. MUCH. MORE! We thank them alongside the ENTIRE AllPets team for the amount of heart and soul they pour into the well-being of our patients every single day. Please know that we sympathize with the challenges that come from curbside appointments and being away from your pet. We also want to extend this heartfelt thank-you to you as owners for your patience, understanding, and kindness as we work to give each pet the time they need and deserve for a positive visit! Though things have looked a lot different this year, rest assured that your family member is still receiving all of the love, care, and attention as if they were our own! -AllPets Family

Dear Pet Parents, As we continue to care for your pets during these unprecedented times, our number one priority is the safety of your pets, you, and the All Pets Animal Clinic family. For this reason, we are continuing to provide curbside services exclusively. We are also asking for all future visits, to please wear a mask when we approach your car. We want to take every precaution to make sure you, your pets, and our team are safe so that we can stay open to care for your pets. Please join us in wearing a mask when one of our team members comes to retrieve your pet. We have developed relationships with many of you over the years and we feel a deep responsibility to provide you with compassionate care for your pets so while we would love to have you back in the building, we know that limiting person-to-person contact will reduce the risk of COVID-19 exposure so we cannot change protocols at this time. We understand that waiting in your car is inconvenient and that curbside appointments are taking longer than normal โ€“ itโ€™s a more difficult process for our team. We also understand that phone wait times are longer than usual. Due to the nature of curbside appointments, our call volume is the highest it has ever been and our team is doing everything we can to get to you as quickly as possible. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience, and we also ask for your patience and understanding as we are doing everything we can to care for your pets while keeping you and the All Pets Animal Clinic team as safe as possible. We will continue to reassess how to best operate during the pandemic as new information is made available and in the meantime, we thank you for your support. We are here for you and your pets, and we look forward to seeing you soon!

**Warning! Some graphic photos attached!** Everyone meet Simon! Simon was brought to us as a young kitten rescued from a hoarding situation. Dr. Amy determined that Simon had severe & advanced damage to both of his eyes, but still seemed able to track shadows. Despite his rough start, Simon purred the entire exam ๐Ÿ’• Because kittens have such amazing ability to heal, together with his foster parents, it was decided to give his eyes a chance. He was started on an antibiotic regimen & multimodal pain medications. Simon went home to his foster family and with incredible amounts of care, patience, and love, his eyes stopped crusting over and began to show some improvement. His foster family noticed that he would โ€œtrackโ€ & follow his siblingsโ€™ tails as they went back and forth in front of his face. During recheck appointments, Simon would seek out his siblings to cuddle and groom them. Unfortunately despite the early progress, Simon's body began rejecting his eyes and he slowly lost any small amount of vision he had. However, because Simon was so young, he quickly adapted & continued to thrive in life as a blind kitten! To prevent long-term pain & risk of the dying eyes becoming a constant source of infection, Dr. Amy determined it was best to surgically remove them. He made a rapid recovery after surgery and was officially adopted by his foster family! His family says that Simon has been doing great at home and has a habit of stashing his toys in the bathtub - every day they find something different in the tub ๐Ÿ™ƒ
