Entering Wildfire from Bright Eye Cinema on Vimeo: Working in collaboration, artists Ethan Turpin, Jonathan Smith and architect Justin Harmon teamed up to offer the public a point of view from within a wildfire. Ian Grob of the US Forest Service provided recordings he makes with fire-proof camera boxes, which give rare insights into an otherwise perilous situation. Entering Wildfire was commissioned by the Bren School for Environmental Science and Management at the University of California Santa Barbara as part of Ethan Turpin's Burn Cycle series. AHN Pediatrics Transition to New Health Record System Effective 10/13/2020
On October 13, 2020, AHN Pediatrics will be transitioning from our current electronic health record system to a new system. In preparation for that, ALL AHN PEDIATRICS LOCATIONS WILL BE CLOSING AT NOON ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 9, 2020, while our staff complete training and data entry to make sure that our patient information and appointment schedules are complete and accurate.
**PLEASE NOTE: OUR ARCADIA, GREENTREE AND ST. CLAIR OFFICES WILL STILL BE HAVING THEIR FLU CLINICS ON 10/9 FOR PATIENTS WITH SCHEDULED APPOINTMENTS.
IF YOUR CHILD IS SICK OR YOU NEED MEDICAL ADVICE ON FRIDAY, 10/9/20, AFTER 12:00 PM, PLEASE CALL THE PHONE NUMBER FOR YOUR REGULAR AHN PEDIATRICS OFFICE WHERE YOU WILL EITHER BE ABLE TO SPEAK WITH A NURSE OR SPEAK TO OUR ANSWERING SERVICE AND RECEIVE A CALL BACK FROM A PROVIDER ON CALL. AS ALWAYS, IF YOU EXPERIENCE A LIFE-THREATENING MEDICAL EMERGENCY, PLEASE CALL 911.
You may notice that some things take a little longer as we get acclimated to our new system. While all of our providers and staff have been trained on the new system, you will see additional staff in our offices working with them to ensure that everything is running smoothly. Normal routines may take a little more time than usual as we double-check our work to ensure that you and your child continue to receive quality care during this change. We apologize in advance for any additional wait times you may experience, and sincerely thank you for your patience.
You should have received information in the past couple of weeks about MyChart, a great feature of our new system that replaces our current patient portal. You can use MyChart to book appointments, view statements and pay bills, communicate with your care team, request routine prescription refills, view your child’s health history, view test results and more. MyChart also has an app to make things even more convenient. Check your inbox tomorrow for an email with more information about MyChart, or visit MyChart.ahn.org to register.
As always, thank you for entrusting us with your child’s health and well-being. If you have any questions, please call your regular AHN Pediatrics office.

ALERT: COVID-19 cases are rapidly rising across the U.S. As cold weather moves in and we begin to spend more time indoors closer together, the virus can spread more easily. It’s more important than ever that we remain vigilant and take steps to protect ourselves and our loved ones:
• Stay home when possible.
• If you go out of the house, be sure to wear a mask over your mouth AND nose.
• Stay at least 6 feet apart from people who do not live in your household and avoid crowds.
• Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
