Joker is a 2.5 year old shelter favorite. This sweet boy came to us from a cruelty case where he was found with other dogs in deplorable conditions. He came to us
covered in scars and we can only imagine what his previous life was like. Joker waited with us at the shelter during the court case and we are so excited that he is finally ready to be adopted!
Joker can be very shy at first and isn't overly affectionate with people. However, he really comes to life with another dog! Joker has met many dogs here during his stay but his favorite friend is Petunia :) We think Joker would do best in a home with a doggie friend and a family who is ok with him just keeping to himself.
Joker is super playful in the park and loves swimming in the pool! We think he'd do best in a home with kids 15+. Sonoma is a 1 year old houndy girl who came to us as a stray. With her stunning colors and sweet face, we couldn't believe someone didn't come looking for her!
In true hound fashion, Sonoma loves to explore and sniff. Sonoma was adopted and returned shortly after when they decided she was too much for them.
She is a big high energy dog and will bark at strange people and other dogs on walks. She is also nervous with new people entering the home and will need extra time to settle
in and get comfortable. We feel she would do best in an adult only quiet home with no other dogs.

Hello! My name is Alexandria OCATsio Cortez. I was found a stray cat by a resident. I wanted to be petted and go into their home, but they couldn’t keep me, so I came to the MCSPCA. Soon after, I gave birth to eight kittens! Luckily for us, we hit the jackpot and got to be in foster with one of their excellent staff members.
In my foster home, I was a great mom and excellent company for my humans. I love being petted, nuzzling back against my humans, and don’t mind being picked up and held a bit. I can be a little chatty because I have lots to say! I’m also smart.
I did a little clicker training and learned a few behaviors like “up” and “sit.” I also love playing with my string toys, having a few treats, and getting wild with catnip.
In the shelter, I’m still just as loveable! I like hanging around the office during after hours too and getting all kinds of attention. There’s no place like home, though, and yours is just where I want to be.
I am about 2 years young. I wasn’t too fond of the other cats and dogs my foster owned, so I would have to be the only pet at home. I have so much happiness to spread with you, so vote AOC for your adoption today!
