Dr. Allison Medlin, MD, a board-certified family physician with Heritage Physicians Group, serving the Independence and surrounding Eastern Jackson County, Mo. communities. Dr. Medlin offers comprehensive family care for patients of all ages and strives to build relationships with her patients, working with them to improve their health. She has a rich and diverse background, including a recent stint in Australia as a general practitioner delivering care at a medical center near the Great Barrier Reef. This experience gave her the opportunity to treat a broad range of diseases and conditions in patients of all nationalities within both urgent care and general practice environments. Prior to that, Dr. Medlin served as an attending physician at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Hudson Family Practice, where she delivered care to patients of all ages, including those who suffered from chronic conditions. She has specialized expertise in fitness and exercise, having completed post-graduate work in exercise physiology, and competed as a Division I track and cross country athlete at the University of Arkansas.
