Insurance has always been part of my life. My dad started in the business in 1979 and ran two agencies (in Albertville and Huntsville) for decades. But I initially took a different path — declaring a biomedical sciences major when I entered Auburn University. When I realized the great opportunity my dad had, though, I added on a business minor and began work for him after graduation. In 2006, I purchased my own agency in Guntersville, and I bought my dad’s offices in 2012 so he could retire. I then bought a fourth agency right here in Arab in 2014 (across from the Joe V Clayton Chevrolet).
I stay busy, but I always take time to help our community and our staff. We’re members of the Arab Chamber of Commerce and the Marshall Young Professionals, and we support The Ogden House and Hospice of Marshall County. We also offer staff a week’s paid time off when they go on a mission trip — because when our community is healthy and our team is happy, the customers will be, too.
