Some progress pics on the current project. Originally intended to reinforce the existing house and add an addition. We found some structural issues that would have made the expense too much for what was here, so, we started fresh.
While Wyoming didn't shut down like other states, and we have been busier than a mosquito at a nudist colony, there are still major ramifications of the shut downs elsewhere in the country and the world. We watched 7/16 OSB go from $7-8/sheet in June, to over $20+/sheet today. Finding lumber, that isn't twisted to the extent you could build a spiral staircase, is getting harder and harder to find. We haven't slowed down one bit this year, despite the pandemic and shut downs, but being able to do our job without materials would be an impossible feat. Hopefully soon things will start to level out a bit or many companies, who didn't fear closing down, will now be at risk. Even with tons of building and remodeling projects available!

New Minnkota Windows for Liz!
New deck for Craig and Bev. Now they can debate over the colors!π
1 week of hauling stuff to a storage unit, but we got it done. Hope the new owner has great success with it and hopefully we get a shop soon to better serve our needs! In the meantime, we've got Alotta jobs ahead of us this year!
Alotta Construction LLC has been in our building in Powell for 5 years. We wanted everyone to know not to get alarmed (or excited), but we are selling the shop. This is a decision that will help our company and in turn, our customers. We don't have a new location built, yet, but as soon as we do, we will let you all know! This sale has been in the works for a year and we are excited (and a little overwhelmed sorting through this stuff), but it'll all work out!
So, I have to say it's pretty weird remodeling your own house! It's definitely true that a contractor's home is never finished, and we're no exception. The upstairs is still gutted. The shop is still not built. The addition is just a distant hope. We can't even get on our own schedule! But, I guess, baby steps!π
And yes, we'll live with exposed insulation, no flooring, exposed plumbing and end up tearing out all the drywall later, but, we have a bigger shower!π
Thank You!π
New chainlink fence for the A&W in Greybull! Now, if ya'll could watch your balls so we don't have to keep repairing the fence, that'd be great!π³π
P.S. Your truck hitch balls...they get stuck in the fence...
