*Does Dr. Shane only work with the spine?
He not only works with the spine, but all extremities as well. He also has experience working in sports performance involving muscle strengthening, functioning, and imbalances.
*Will Dr. Shane be able to perform or suggest rehab and/or exercises like Dr. Austin?
Yes, he is very athletic. He plays many sports and has a background in rehab/exercise work. It is very important to him to be able to help patients succeed in doing the things they love most.
*Will there be any major changes in the office or how chiropractic care will be given?
Absolutely not! Dr. Shane will be observing Dr. Austin during the transition period and will continue to provide the same care as he does. He knows the importance of Dr. Austin's practice for his patients and does not want to transform that care in any way. The only change you will see is a different man providing you with the care you want and deserve.
*Is Dr. Shane familiar with Boulder?
Yes, Dr. Shane lived here in Boulder for 3 years a while back. He is happy to return and bring his family with him.
*How and when will the transition between doctors occur?
We will begin the transition on Wednesday, January 6th and it will continue until Dr. Austin's last day on January 15th. During the transition, patients will be adjusted by Dr. Austin and Dr. Shane will only be here to observe. It is very important to Dr. Shane that he learns how Dr. Austin provides the best care for his patients so that he can continue to do the same after Dr. Austin leaves.
These are some of the questions that have been asked multiple times. If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to our office manager, Lacey. She will be remaining at Alpine Chiropractic with Dr. Shane and is here to help you during the transition and afterwards.

Drs. Austin and Breanne are moving back to Connecticut to be with family. We will miss them greatly and are so thankful for the care they have provided for all of our patients! ❤️
Below is a little tid bit from Dr. Shane. We can't wait for you to meet him!
“I graduated from chiropractic school in 2000, and since then, owned a couple of clinics and maybe have done 60,000+ traditional chiropractic adjustments. Fortunately, most people seem to improve. Personally, I enjoy doing anything outdoors and still play a variety of sports. In addition to helping people get out of pain, I hope to support them in doing more of what they enjoy doing. My job is primarily to adjust the spine.
I’m blessed to have a wonderful wife and 3 children. We enjoy doing outdoor activities and also playing sports. More or less we live a healthy lifestyle, including what we eat, sleep, exercise, getting adjusted, etc. My wife Alicia, is a doula and has a wonderful business in California. She will continue her agency there, while starting a new one, here in Boulder County.
That’s us in short. I look forward to meeting you and I hope to provide good service going forward.”
