Offering same-day appointments, Amanda provides physical exams for patients ages 14 and older, as well as contraceptive services, treatment of sexually transmitted diseases, and prescription medication. She cares for patients during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. She specializes in caring for the LGBTQ population and patients with special needs. Certified nurse-midwives offer a more natural and personal approach to childbirth and women’s health, collaborating with physicians if pregnancy becomes complicated.
Amanda earned her Master of Science in nursing at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with a concentration in nurse-midwifery. She completed a midwifery fellowship at the Midwife Center for Birth and Women’s Health in Pittsburgh.
She serves as vice president of ACNM Pennsylvania and is board secretary for Pittsburgh Equality Center. Amanda has medical privileges at Jefferson Hospital.
